Festival Singers is a community choir based in Sherwood Park, Alberta.    It has always maintained a high performance standard of choral music and has been graced with a variety of conductors, many of whom have been directly associated with the Department of Music, University of Alberta.  Festival Singers  welcomes adult singers.

Our sessions start in September and January of each year.  Our rehearsals are at 7:30 PM on Tuesdays, usually at Festival Place, 100 Festival Drive, Sherwood Park.

Fall 2011 session began with our first rehearsal on Tuesday September 13, 7:30 pm !

We are very pleased to welcome back  Heather Bedford Clooney as our conductor for the September 2011 session.

Heather is based in Edmonton and has extensive involvement in choral music including the Columbian Choirs, Opera Nuova, the Edmonton Music Festival, music adjudicator and voice teacher, and was Head of English and Fine Arts at Salisbury Composite High School in Sherwood Park.
 

PUTTIN’ ON THE RITZ – SPRING CONCERT!

Festival Singers is excited to present their first Cabaret Style Concert, Puttin' on the Ritz, Saturday May 5, 2012 at OLPH Parish, 13 Brower Drive, Sherwood Park on the Lower Level. The evening promises to entertain you with a selection of well-known Broadway and TV tunes. Colin MacLean will be our Master of Ceremony. Under the direction of our conductor Heather Bedford-Clooney and accompanist Linda Steinbring you can expect to be tapping your toes and moving to the tunes all evening. The doors open at 7:00 pm with curtain call at 7:30 pm. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and there will be a cash bar.
