Festival Singers is a community choir based in Sherwood Park, Alberta.    It has always maintained a high performance standard of choral music and has been graced with a variety of conductors, many of whom have been directly associated with the Department of Music, University of Alberta.  Festival Singers  welcomes adult singers.

Our sessions start in September and January of each year.  Our rehearsals are at 7:30 PM on Tuesdays, usually at Festival Place, 100 Festival Drive, Sherwood Park.

Fall 2011 session began with our first rehearsal on Tuesday September 13, 7:30 pm !

We are very pleased to welcome back  Heather Bedford Clooney as our conductor for the September 2011 session.

Heather is based in Edmonton and has extensive involvement in choral music including the Columbian Choirs, Opera Nuova, the Edmonton Music Festival, music adjudicator and voice teacher, and was Head of English and Fine Arts at Salisbury Composite High School in Sherwood Park.

We are looking forward to an exciting year of choral music and invite all singers in the community to come out and join us!

Christmas Concert

Our Christmas Concert, Wassail! A Celebration of Christmas, will be held at Festival Place, at 2:30, Sunday afternoon, December 11, 2011.  We look forward to seeing all of our valued friends and supporters as you join us for this celebration. Admission is $15, tickets are available from Festival Place Box Office.

Mother's Day  Concert and Strawberry Tea

Join us on Sunday, May 8^th, 2011 at 2:30 pm for our annual spring concert. It is the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Treat your mom on their special day and spend the afternoon together experiencing the beauty of choral music, followed by a Strawberry Tea. The concert’s exciting repertoire has something for all mothers to enjoy ranging from Mozart to Folk Songs to Broadway. Tickets can also be purchased from choir members or at the door (cash or cheques only).
