Festival Singers is of, and for, the people of Strathcona County. As such, we aim to contribute – in a vital and viable way – to arts and culture in our communities. We strive to cultivate positive relationships not only with our members, but to also raise our profile through our social networks.
We’re seeking a social media coordinator with knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to regularly create, curate and schedule social media content appropriate for each of these channels. Content is often culled from existing choir – and music-related blogs to complement our own photo and video content.
To be successful in this role, the social media coordinator should have sound knowledge of:
- Social media engagement and growth experience with Instagram, Facebook and YouTube
- Experience in content creation and ability to create/curate engaging and relevant content across applicable social media platforms
- Excellent command of grammar and spelling, along with proven written communication skills and experience writing for various platforms (i.e., blogs, websites and social media)
- Deadline driven, professional and service oriented
- Organized, with keen attention to detail
- Flexible and dependable
- Computer and tech savvy
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), as well as of presentation and video editing software (i.e., Camtasia Studio, After Effects) would be a considerable asset.
